about us
TransferCamp is a project intended to empower community college students with the information, guidance, and skills necessary to navigate the transfer process to four year universities. The project encompasses resources for class selection, extracurricular activities, internship placement, application essay support, and guidance during the financial aid process. TransferCamp is a non-commercial, free to use platform, to enable students from all backgrounds to achieve their best potential during their community college career.
The TransferCamp project was started by Howard Kim, a community college counselor and educator who has worked with community college students over the last five years, helping students transfer to the UC system, USC, and other private universities. Howard currently works at The Walt Disney Company and spends his free time to partner with educators, employers, and mentors to expand the resources that TransferCamp has to offer.
